Hi there, my name is Valerie! My husband, Gabor, and my dear friend, Tony, live on our pastoral acreage on Salt Spring Island in Canada, BC. Over the past 4 years, we have shared our property with folks of all walks of life. We are passionate about nurturing and evolving this land, ensuring to always honour it. We are outdoor enthusiasts with a joie de vivre! We enjoy socializing and meeting new friends. We are always happy to connect with our guests.

Enjoy a good night’s sleep with our comfortable, king-size mattress with an elite mattress topper and unique bedside tables that feature a charging station for your comfort.

Take the short paved walkway beyond the cottage's french doors to a private bunkie featuring a secondary cozy queen-size mattress and bedside tables with another charging station for your convenience.

Experience the relaxation of heated bathroom floors, a towel warmer, walk-in shower, and luxury toiletries sourced from local island businesses in your private bathroom.
Living Room
Immerse yourself in the cozy warmth of the open-concept living space that features a wood-burning stove and a scenic view of the back deck, bunkie, and surrounding gardens. Enjoy access to a 50” picture frame TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a quality sound system that provides Bluetooth and an Auxiliary Input.
Kitchen
Experience cooking with ease in our open concept kitchen stocked with all the essentials. Upon arrival, you will find fresh whole milk, eggs, and butter in the fridge.
We provide one complimentary continental breakfast for your first day, any additional breakfasts can be requested for $22 per person, each day.
Deck
Walk through the French doors of the main cottage to find a south-facing deck equipped with Adirondack chairs, a table that seats four, and a barbecue for al fresco dining. Recharge with the hot tub or fire pit in the tranquility of our quiet space. Relax on our lounge chairs in your private garden space.

"What a sweet spot on Salt Spring! I've stayed in dozens of Airbnbs and this is one of my favourites. Valerie thought of everything, from extra touches at check-in and check-out, to the thoughtful decor and touches throughout the space. It's designed in a way that blends perfectly with the island feel.
We loved having two separate cottages for privacy and space, and the whole Airbnb is situated to feel very private from Valerie's main house. The expansive acres of property were fun to explore, from the rowboat in the pond, to the boardwalk over the wetlands. And we took full advantage of the hot tub, especially on the day that it rained, since it's covered. I also loved the Pavoni hand-pulled espresso machine and used it every day for an espresso better than most coffee shops.
Next time we're on Salt Spring, we'll book Valerie's place for sure if it's available!"

"Lovely grounds, and perfect for a morning walk or run. Immaculate and charming cabin with functional and artistic details throughout. Delicious and lovingly prepared breakfast basket included for one of the mornings. Hosts are very helpful with suggestions for local activities, beaches, and restaurants. We have stayed at Airbnb's around the world, and this is by far, our favourite!"

"This place is a true gem. I have never had such an amazing Airbnb experience. The property is stunning and the cottage is impeccable. Beautifully decorated and well appointed with fresh milk, coffee and even farm fresh eggs! We were provided with a complimentary breakfast on our first morning (everything was so fresh and beautifully presented to us in a basket!). The bed is so comfortable and the linens were heavenly! The back deck with the fire pit and hot tub are just the cherry on top. Spent our mornings having coffee and watching the birds and in the evening cozied up by the fire and enjoyed a glass of wine. Will be recommending this property for anyone coming to Salt Spring Island!"

While guests have access to ponds, paths, and roads on the property, we do ask that you cook, sleep, and consume alcohol in designated areas.
➊ Guest check-in time is 4:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00 am.
➋ No unregistered guests are permitted. We have a 4-person maximum. Permission from hosts must be obtained for any additional guests.
➌ We only accept bookings for adults of 16+. We will be unable to process any booking requests that include children or pets.
➍ The maximum speed on all private roads within the property is 25km/h.
➎ We have a zero-tolerance policy for campfires and smoking on the property.
➏ No animals are permitted aside from guide and service dogs, due to other animals on the property.
➐ Quiet time is from 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
